JOSHUA ANTONIOUS · FOUNDER

From carrying the number
to building the system.

“I never stopped selling.”

Joshua Antonious, founder of Poros Advisors

The work begins with understanding what it takes to produce the result.

Joshua spent nearly nine years at a founder-led, publicly traded HR and payroll software company in the S&P 500. He progressed from quota-carrying sales to regional leadership and enterprise sales strategy and operations. As the company's first Director of Sales Operations, and later Senior Director of Sales Operations and Sales Strategy, he built roles, compensation and quota plans, sales programs and tools that connected executive priorities to field execution.

He built and led an organization with responsibility for up to 86 team members and working relationships with more than 100 sales leaders. His scope connected commercial planning, revenue operations, enablement, data and analytics, and automation in support of approximately 1,000 sellers.

That perspective combines the realities of selling, the responsibility of leading people and the economics of operating at scale. Poros applies it to the decisions and changes in front of clients today. Every engagement is senior-led, with no handoff to junior staff.

During his tenure, the company ranked on Fortune’s 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list three years in a row (No. 2 in 2017, No. 5 in 2018 and No. 6 in 2019), was named one of Selling Power’s 60 Best Companies to Sell For in 2025 and was recognized by Comparably for its sales team four consecutive years through 2025.

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE APPROACH

Build the capability.
Make it work in practice.

Prior operating results from our founder's former employer, not Poros client outcomes. They do not imply endorsement by any former employer.

SELLER PRODUCTIVITY

50%+Increase in new-rep revenue in the first 90 days.

Give new sellers a stronger start.

Sales programming, enablement and field execution were redesigned around how new sellers learn and produce.

REGIONAL TURNAROUND

$1.3M → $4M+Regional annual recurring revenue over three years: $1.3M, then $3.4M, then more than $4M.

Start in the field. Build from there.

Our founder took over the lowest-performing Strategic Accounts region. He observed client meetings, rebuilt the team and reset expectations and the operating model. He was promoted to lead Sales Operations by the end of the third year.

COMMERCIAL OPERATING MODEL

200+Business processes and reports automated by our founder and his teams.

Build capacity for higher-value work.

Roles, workflows and technology were redesigned to expand strategic support for the field. Automation and operating-model changes supported revenue productivity and EBITA margin expansion.

DEAL DESK & GOVERNANCE

100% → ~20%Share of deals requiring manual review.

Remove friction. Keep the controls.

Our founder led requirements and cross-functional work with Legal, Accounting and Development. Rules-based workflows enabled qualifying signed deals to book the same day, with an approval path for exceptions.

DATA THAT CHANGES DECISIONS

From reporting to a leadership command center.

Established trusted data foundations, then connected performance, communication and expectations to coaching, recognition, accountability and capacity decisions for sales leadership. The data work came first and took longer than the pilot that followed.

THE MEANING OF POROS

A passage.
A way through.

The Greek word poros points to a passage or a means of getting through. For Poros Advisors, that idea connects insight with a practical path forward.

Businesses move through seasons of growth, pressure and transformation. People move through seasons of ambition, uncertainty and new responsibility. Poros brings perspective, structure and follow-through to the work those changes require.

PRINCIPLES IN PRACTICE

How we lead
shapes what changes.

The same principles guide a commercial transformation and a coaching conversation.

Get close to the work

Dashboards do not tell you everything. Listen to customers, observe the field and understand the actual task before prescribing a solution.

Lead with transparency and vulnerability

Explain the reasoning. Make expectations clear. Acknowledge what you do not know and invite the perspective that could change the decision.

Train the behavior

Develop the habits that produce the outcome. Model the work, practice it, coach it and reinforce it through consistent management.

Close the loop

Make an explicit commitment, name the owner and return to the result. Use what happened to decide the next action.

START WITH THE BUSINESS PRIORITY

What is standing between the plan and the result?

Share the outcome you need and what is getting in the way. No cost. No obligation.
