EXAMPLE CONSULTING PROJECTS

Know what you are
bringing Poros in to do.

Examples of standalone projects Poros can scope with you. They describe services, not completed client engagements. Deliverables, timing, responsibilities and fees are agreed before paid work begins.

START HERE

01

Commercial & AI diagnostic

We interview your leaders, walk the work with the people who do it and review your data, tools and AI use. You leave with:

  • Where revenue and capacity are being lost
  • Where AI should and should not be used
  • The three moves that matter most, with owners
  • What can be done in the first 30 days

Fixed scope and fee, agreed in writing before work begins.

Talk through where to start
02

Capacity, territory & incentive design

The situation

The growth target and commercial capacity do not match, or quotas and incentives reward the wrong behavior.

What you get

A capacity model, coverage and territory design, quota-setting approach, incentive principles and governance.

How progress is measured

Attainment distribution, priority-account coverage and selling cost relative to new and expansion revenue.

Discuss this project
03

Operating-model & organization redesign

The situation

The organization was built for an earlier stage. Roles overlap, handoffs break and decisions stall.

What you get

A current-state map across functions, target structure and roles, spans of control and decision rights, workflow design and a phased transition plan.

How progress is measured

Cycle time across handoffs, cost to serve, decision speed and adoption.

Discuss this project
04

Sales productivity & manager program

The situation

New sellers take too long to produce, or manager execution varies.

What you get

Seller and manager standards, onboarding and coaching tools, reinforcement routines and a measurement plan.

How progress is measured

Agreed indicators of ramp, manager execution quality and revenue per seller.

Discuss this project
05

Commercial decision & visibility system

The situation

Leaders have dashboards but still struggle to decide where to act.

What you get

Aligned KPI definitions, trusted source mappings, decision views and an operating cadence.

How progress is measured

Coaching, capacity, pipeline and forecast decisions made on agreed definitions and traceable to evidence.

Discuss this project
06

AI & automation in operations

The situation

Skilled people spend too much time on repeatable administrative work.

What you get

A task-level inventory, automation and role-redesign priorities, exception and approval paths, business requirements and an adoption plan.

How progress is measured

Hours and recurring cost released, cycle time, exception rates and how released capacity is used.

Discuss this project
07

AI-enabled selling program

The situation

Sellers have AI tools but use them inconsistently, or not at all.

What you get

Use cases by role and sales motion, workflows built into the sales process, manager reinforcement routines and an adoption plan.

How progress is measured

Active use by role, time returned to selling, conversion quality and ramp.

THE SCOPE OF THE WORK

Commercial choices.
Operating discipline.
Field execution.

Work across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and customer-facing teams to address the constraint. Scope the engagement around the outcome, with clear ownership across functions.

01

Commercial Strategy

Choose where and how to grow.

Translate the growth ambition into choices about markets, customers, coverage and investment.

  • GTM planning, segmentation and expansion
  • Capacity, territories, quotas and incentives
  • Commercial readiness for markets and product launches

Typical deliverables: a segment and coverage model, capacity and quota plan, incentive principles and a growth plan with named owners.

02

Business Transformation

Change how the business works.

Redesign how the organization works across sales, implementation, customer success, finance operations and the back office: structure, roles, processes, data, technology and decision rights.

  • Operating model, organization design and decision rights
  • Quote-to-cash, cross-functional handoffs and management visibility
  • Automation and AI opportunities with human oversight

Typical deliverables: a map of the work as it runs today, the target operating model, decision rights, workflow and data requirements, a phased implementation plan and AI and automation priorities.

03

Revenue Performance

Make the change reach the field.

Connect sales strategy to seller behavior, manager effectiveness and customer outcomes.

  • Seller onboarding, enablement and coaching
  • Pipeline, forecasting and performance cadence
  • Retention, account expansion and implementation alignment

Typical deliverables: seller and manager standards, onboarding and coaching routines, a pipeline and forecast cadence, a measurement plan and AI-assisted selling and coaching routines.

AUTOMATION & AI

Redesign the work.
Protect the judgment.

Start with the task, the decision and the economics.

Assess where rules-based automation or AI can remove administrative work, improve a handoff or surface a useful signal. Define the data requirements, exception paths and accountable owner before scaling.

Qualification, coaching, pricing judgment and customer commitments still need deliberate human involvement. The measure is useful capacity and better execution, with the right controls in place.

Poros defines the work, the requirements and the controls, and supports implementation with your technical owners or vendors. Technical build is included only when it is explicitly scoped.

ENGAGEMENT OPTIONS

A focused project.
Or continuity through change.

A long-term retainer is not required to begin. Start with a diagnostic, a defined deliverable or an advisory conversation; build the scope around what the situation needs.

SHORT-TERM PROJECT CONSULTING

A specific problem.
A concrete deliverable.

Bring a priority that needs focused attention: a growth constraint, an operating redesign or a change that is not taking hold. Scope a standalone project with a clear finish line.

  • Diagnostic, baseline and prioritized recommendations
  • Process, operating-model or program design
  • Implementation support, adoption and handover

ONGOING EXECUTIVE ADVISORY

A thinking partner.
Accountability through change.

Work through consequential decisions with an experienced operator. Establish a cadence to challenge assumptions, assess tradeoffs and keep execution connected to the business goal.

  • Commercial and organizational decision support
  • Transformation priorities and executive alignment
  • Regular progress reviews against agreed measures
  • Development for the leaders carrying the change
Discuss executive advisory

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Clear expectations.
From the first conversation.

Can we hire Poros for a short-term project?

Yes. A defined diagnostic, redesign or implementation priority can be a standalone consulting engagement with agreed deliverables and a finish line. Ongoing advisory is a separate option.

What happens in the first conversation?

We discuss the desired outcome, what is happening today, the urgency and the constraints. We assess fit and identify whether a project, advisory relationship or another next step makes sense. You do not need a prepared brief. If Poros is not the right fit, we will say so.

How is the work managed?

Agree a working cadence, decision rights and a point of contact before work begins. If specialist support would help, the roles, responsibilities and any additional cost are agreed with you before that work begins.

How are scope and fees set?

If you decide to work together after the first conversation, scope, timing and fee are agreed in writing before paid work begins.

Can Poros help implement the recommendations?

Yes. Implementation support can be included in the agreed scope: workflows, requirements, leadership routines, enablement, adoption measures and handover to the team. Technical development is included only when it is explicitly scoped.

How do you work with our existing teams?

Build with the people who own the work. Agree decision rights, involve the field and technical owners, and equip your team to operate and improve the solution.

What is outside the scope of Poros?

Poros does not provide legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, act as a staffing agency or resell software. Where those needs arise, your own advisers remain responsible for them.

Can you coach our leaders?

Yes. Company-sponsored leadership coaching can support a business engagement or be scoped separately. Goals and any progress reporting are agreed at the outset.

START WITH THE BUSINESS PRIORITY

What is standing between the plan and the result?

Share the outcome you need and what is getting in the way. No cost. No obligation.
